Anyhony Joshua’s driver arraigned in court over fatal accident

Anthony Joshua’s driver, Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, 46, has been arraigned in court over a fatal accident that occurred on December 29, 2025, along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway. Kayode was charged with four counts, including causing death by dangerous driving, reckless and negligent driving, driving without due care and attention, and driving without a valid National Driver’s Licence.

The accident claimed the lives of two of Joshua’s friends and team members, Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele, while Joshua sustained minor injuries. The court granted Kayode bail in the sum of ₦5 million with two sureties, but he was remanded pending the fulfilment of his bail conditions. The case has been adjourned to January 20, 2026.
