The committee, chaired by Joseph Tegbe, aims to ensure a fair, transparent, and technology-driven tax system that supports economic growth and protects citizens’ and businesses’ interests.

Key Objectives:

– Nationwide Stakeholder Engagement: Conducting extensive consultations with private sector leaders, state governments, and professional bodies
– Public Awareness Campaigns: Educating citizens on the new tax laws and their benefits
– Inter-Agency Coordination: Aligning revenue collection bodies and regulatory institutions with the new laws
– Revenue Mobilization: Enhancing revenue collection and minimizing leakages


The NTPIC comprises experts from tax administration, finance, law, the private sector, and civil society, ensuring a balanced and inclusive approach. Minister of Finance Wale Edun will oversee the committee’s activities, with Sanyade Okoli serving as Secretary.
