DSTV is indeed reducing the price of their Decoder by up to 40% online and 30% in retail stores, effective November 1, 2025. This move is part of Canal+’s strategy to win back millions of subscribers lost to streaming giants like Netflix and Showmax.

New Decoder Prices:

– HD Zapper: ₦6,000 (online), ₦7,000 (retail)
– HD Zapper + Dish Kit: ₦15,000 (online), ₦17,500 (retail)
– DStv Explora: ₦134,394 (online), ₦156,793 (retail)

Additional Offers:

– Open Time Weekend: Free Premium content access from November 7-9
– Extra Device Streams: Up to 4 simultaneous views for Premium subscribers until December

This price cut is Canal+’s first major move since acquiring MultiChoice, aiming to make satellite TV more affordable and competitive in Africa.
