Davido, the Afrobeats superstar, has been appointed Chairman of the Osun Sports Trust Fund by Governor Ademola Adeleke. This move aims to mobilize resources and revitalize Osun State’s sports sector. Davido’s global recognition and network are expected to attract substantial funding and visibility to the state’s sports ecosystem.
The Osun State Government plans to establish the Osun State Sports Commission, which will oversee sports administration, development, and policy implementation. The government is also renovating the Osogbo Township Stadium to meet Olympic standards, with plans to host national and international events.
