The Federal Government of Nigeria has indeed disbursed over ₦300 billion to more than 8 million households across the country through its Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) program. This initiative, implemented by the National Social Investment Agency, aims to improve the welfare and resilience of vulnerable communities nationwide.
Key Highlights of the Program:
– Number of Beneficiaries: Over 8.1 million households have benefited from the program.
– Total Disbursement: More than ₦300 billion has been disbursed.
– Objective: To enhance the capacity, health, and education of vulnerable groups.
– Additional Support: The government plans to provide ₦6.3 billion in interest-free loans to 21,000 Nigerians affected by flood disasters.
The program is part of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at promoting economic empowerment and reducing poverty among Nigerians.
