The Dangote Refinery has announced that it will stop selling Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol, in Naira starting tomorrow, September 28, 2025.

In a memo issued to its customers, the refinery explained that it has exhausted its crude oil allocations priced in Naira and can no longer sustain petrol sales in the local currency.

Customers currently transacting in Naira have been advised to request refunds, with the refinery assuring that further updates will be provided once sales in the Naira currency resume.
