BREAKING NEWS: The Federal Government has awarded Nafisah Abdullahi, the winner of the TeenEagle global finals English competition, a sum of N200,000.

The Federal Government has indeed awarded Nafisah Abdullahi, the 17-year-old winner of the TeenEagle global finals English competition, a sum of ₦200,000. This recognition comes after her outstanding performance in the competition, where she outshone over 20,000 participants from 69 countries to clinch the world title in English language skills.

Nafisah’s achievement is notable not only for her mastery of the English language but also for her critical thinking and articulation skills, which helped her secure the top prize. The TeenEagle competition is a globally recognized contest that evaluates students’ proficiency in English language, critical thinking, and communication skills.

The award ceremony was attended by the Minister of Education, Dr. Tunji Alausa, and the Minister of State for Education, Professor Suiwaba Sa’id Ahmad, who praised Nafisah’s resilience, intellect, and determination. They described her as “a beacon of excellence and inspiration to Nigerian youths”.

Interestingly, Nafisah’s victory has sparked celebrations in Yobe State and beyond, with calls for her to be awarded both state and national honors. Her family has expressed gratitude to Governor Mai Mala Buni for his commitment to education, which they believe played a significant role in Nafisah’s success.

Nafisah’s achievement is also recognized by philanthropist Kashim Musa Tumsah, who awarded her a cash reward of ₦500,000 and a brand-new laptop for her educational endeavors.
