JUST IN: A cleaner Faiza Abdulkadir on a N30,000 monthly salary has returned N4.8 million credited to her bank account in Maiduguri, Borno State.

Faiza Abdulkadir, a cleaner at the University of Maiduguri (UNIMAID), has indeed shown remarkable honesty by returning ₦4.8 million that was mistakenly credited to her bank account. She earns a modest ₦30,000 monthly salary and is a single mother of five. According to Faiza, her fear of God guided her decision to return the money, stating that she wanted peace of mind and to avoid God’s punishment on the Day of Judgement.

The incident occurred when the substantial sum was erroneously deposited into her account. Despite her financial struggles, Faiza chose to return every kobo to its rightful owner. It took her three days to complete the bank processes, during which she couldn’t rest or eat properly until the money was finally returned.

Faiza’s actions have sparked widespread admiration, with many praising her moral courage in the face of financial hardship. Her neighbors and bank officials have praised her honesty, describing her as a woman of discipline who lives modestly with her children. This remarkable act has been celebrated in Maiduguri as a rare example of integrity.
