President Bola Tinubu and his wife, Remi Tinubu, were received at Windsor Castle by King Charles III and Queen Camilla during Nigeria’s state visit to the UK. The ceremony featured a 42-gun salute, and the couple was presented to the Royal Family by Prince William and Princess Catherine of Wales. This marks the first state visit by a Nigerian leader in 37 years, aiming to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties between Nigeria and the UK.
The visit includes a state banquet at St George’s Hall, where King Charles praised Nigeria as an “economic powerhouse” and highlighted the deep cultural and commercial links between the two nations. President Tinubu emphasized the shared vision of progress and mutual respect, citing areas like healthcare and sport as bridges between their countries.
