The Joint Revenue Board (JRB) and the Nigerian Revenue Services (NRS), formerly known as the Federal Inland Revenue Service, have announced the launch of the Nigerian Tax ID Portal.

The Joint Revenue Board (JRB) and Nigerian Revenue Services (NRS) have launched the Nigerian Tax ID Portal, streamlining tax administration and compliance. From January 1, 2026, individuals will use their National Identification Number (NIN) as their Tax ID, while businesses will use their Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) registration number.

To retrieve your Tax ID:
– Individuals: Visit (link unavailable), select “Individual,” enter your NIN, and get your 13-digit Tax ID.
– Businesses: Visit (link unavailable), select “Corporate,” enter your CAC registration number, and retrieve your Tax ID.

This move aims to reduce duplication, curb tax evasion, and promote fairness. Only taxable persons (those earning income) need a Tax ID; students and dependents are exempt.
