A 23-year-old man, Abdulazeez Abubakar, allegedly stabbed his childhood friend, 20-year-old Abubakar Sadiq, to death in Minna, Niger State, over a minor disagreement about sachet water used for ablution. The incident occurred on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at Dutsen Kura Hausa, Yoruba Street, during Maghrib prayer.
According to eyewitnesses, the argument escalated into a violent confrontation, resulting in Sadiq’s fatal stab injuries. The police have arrested Abdulazeez and are investigating the incident. The suspect will soon be transferred to the SCID, Minna, for further action.
