Kebbi state Governor signs N642.9 billion 2026 budget into law.

Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has signed the 2026 budget of ₦642.9 billion into law. The budget, titled “Budget of Transformation and People’s Empowerment,” focuses on security, infrastructure, agriculture, education, and healthcare.

Key Allocations:

  • Capital Expenditure: ₦479.36 billion (75% of the budget)
  • Recurrent Expenditure: ₦163.57 billion (25% of the budget)
  • Security Trust Fund: ₦3 billion initial grant
  • Koko-Mahuta-Dabai Road Project: ₦30 billion
  • Agricultural Transformations Centres: ₦45 billion AfDB financing facility

The budget aims to drive growth, empowerment, and progress in Kebbi State, with priorities on agriculture, infrastructure, and social services. Governor Idris thanked the House of Assembly for their swift passage of the budget, emphasizing collaboration for the state’s development.
