A Nigerian-American woman and popular Lagos socialite, Roseline Iyewande Ajeshola, has been arrested in North Carolina for allegedly defrauding a victim of over $247,000. Ajeshola, who resides in Katy, Texas, is facing four felony counts of Obtaining Property by False Pretense, classified as Class C felonies under North Carolina law.
According to authorities, she posed as a financial broker and instructed the victim to transfer large sums of money into a bank account she controlled. The alleged fraudulent transactions took place on February 26, 2025, with four suspicious transfers totaling:
