
The National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, says the Federal Government is receiving support from the United States, the United Kingdom, France and other international partners in its campaign against insurgency and efforts to rescue the 265 students and teachers abd¥cted from St Mary Catholic School, Papairi, Agwara LGA of Niger State.
Ribadu, who visited the school on Monday, conveyed President Bola Tinubu’s message of solidarity and reassured parents that security operations were being intensified.
He said, “You are not alone… Many good people from all over the world are coming to support us, including the United States, France, the United Kingdom and others. The whole world is coming together to stop and defeat this ev#l.”

He assured the community that the abducted children were safe. “The children are where they are and will come back safely. God is with them and with us. Ev#l will never win,” he said, adding gratitude to Bishop Yohanna for his cooperation.
Ribadu noted that his visit followed Tinubu’s directive, stressing the President’s concern over the attack. “Mr. President is in p+in. He suspended his journey because of this incident. Enough is enough. Let us not allow bad people to divide us,” he said.
Admitting government responsibility, Ribadu added: “We take responsibility because it is our duty to protect you.” He said stronger security measures would be deployed in the region, expressing confidence that the incident would strengthen national resolve against criminal groups.
He commended Bishop Bulus Yohanna for standing firm. After a brief closed-door meeting, the school’s principal, Rev. Sister Felicia Gyang, and a parents’ representative, Luka Iliya, narrated how the abd¥ction happened.
