NDLEA intercepts over 171,000 tramadol capsules in Niger, Benue and Taraba.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has made significant strides in combating drug trafficking in Nigeria, intercepting over 171,000 tramadol capsules in Niger, Benue, and Taraba states. In a major operation, NDLEA officers arrested a suspect with 15,020 capsules of tramadol at Kasuwabera ATC in Ardo Kola LGA, Taraba, while another suspect was intercepted with 34,520 capsules of tramadol along Zaki-Biam/Wukari road in Benue. Additionally, 7.600kg of Loud, a strong strain of cannabis, was seized in Kogi state.

These efforts demonstrate the NDLEA’s commitment to curbing drug abuse and trafficking in Nigeria. The agency has also been conducting War Against Drug Abuse (WADA) sensitization activities in schools, worship centers, and communities to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse.
