– Chief of Army Staff: Major-General Waheedi Shaibu
– Chief of Naval Staff: Rear Admiral Idi Abbas
– Chief of Air Staff: Air Vice Marshal Kennedy Aneke
– Chief of Defence Intelligence: Major-General Emmanuel Undiendeye
The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, has referred the request to the Committee of the Whole for screening and confirmation next week. This move aims to strengthen Nigeria’s security architecture and enhance inter-agency coordination in addressing insurgency, banditry, and other threats.
