FIRS has collected N22.59 trillion in 2025, N47.39 trillion in two years.

The Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) has made significant strides in revenue collection. Here are the key highlights:
– 2025 Collections: N22.59 trillion collected between January and September 2025
– Two-Year Collections: N47.39 trillion collected between October 2023 and September 2025, exceeding targets by 115%
– Non-Oil Revenue: Accounts for 76% of total collections, with N17.3 trillion collected

FIRS Chairman Dr. Zacch Adedeji attributes this success to diversification and reform initiatives, including the transformation into the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) effective January 1, 2026. The agency has also implemented digital initiatives like the National Single Window Project and e-invoicing system to enhance transparency and efficiency.
