The newly confirmed Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Joash Amupitan, has arrived at the State House in Abuja for his swearing-in ceremony by President Bola Tinubu. Amupitan, a Professor of Law, was confirmed by the Senate on October 16, 2025, and is expected to assume office immediately after the ceremony.
