Ebonyi State University has taken a strong stance against violence and cultism by expelling three students, Azubjike Lawrence, Enyinnaya Ibe Kenneth, and Njoku Joshua, for allegedly possessing firearms during the Students Union Government election. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Michael Awoke, announced the expulsion, warning that cultism and intimidation will no longer be tolerated. The students, from Medical Laboratory Science, Architecture, and Animal Science departments, were arrested with guns and live ammunition, and have been charged in court. This move aims to maintain a safe and peaceful learning environment.
