The Nigeria Education Repository and Databank (NERD) has released a public statement clarifying the arrangements for graduating students and academic institutions concerning the enforcement of the Federal Government’s NERD Compliance Directive, which officially came into effect on October 6, 2025.
In the statement signed by Richard Falaye, Secretary to the Governing Council, NERD extended congratulations to all graduating students across Nigerian universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education, including those awaiting mobilisation for the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
According to NERD, the clarification followed a series of consultative meetings held with relevant government bodies, institutions, and NYSC officials to address the concerns of graduating students caught within the ongoing transition phase.
