The Federal Capital Territory Administration has demolished 11 duplexes in the Dutse District of Abuja.

The Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) recently demolished 11 duplexes in Abuja’s Dutse District due to violations of city planning regulations. These structures were built under high-tension power lines and along a stream channel, posing serious safety and environmental risks.

Reasons for Demolition:

– Safety Concerns: Proximity to high-tension lines and stream channel
– Non-compliance: Developers ignored stop-work notices and proceeded with construction
– Environmental Hazards: Risk of accidents and damage to infrastructure

The FCTA has warned developers to respect planning laws and obtain necessary approvals before construction. The administration is also considering introducing fines for erring developers, emphasizing that no one is above the law.
