President Bola Tinubu has concluded his ten-day working visit to Lagos and returned to Abuja. – Investor Meetings: Tinubu met with Bayo Ogunlesi, CEO of Global Infrastructure Partners, and Keem Belo-Osagie, Chairman of Metis Capital Partners, to discuss private sector partnerships and boost investor confidence in Nigeria’s economy.
– Maritime Industry: He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to developing Nigeria’s maritime industry as a viable alternative to fossil energy, meeting with the Secretary-General of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO), Mr. Arsenio Dominguez.
– Cultural Development: Tinubu commissioned the renovated National Theatre, now renamed the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and the Creative Arts, emphasizing the importance of preserving Nigeria’s cultural heritage.
– Independence Day Broadcast: He delivered a national broadcast, urging Nigerians to speak positively about their country and remain united in hope.
– Imo State Visit: Tinubu visited Imo State, commissioning projects undertaken by Governor Hope Uzodimma and unveiling a book chronicling 10 years of APC governance in Nigeria.
