The Kogi State Police Command has arrested a 23-year-old woman, Charity Williams, during a raid on a suspected criminal hideout at Oguda village, Okene, recovering firearms, ammunition, and over N2 million in cash.

– Firearms and Ammunition: One locally made Beretta pistol and six rounds of 9mm live ammunition
– Cash and Other Items: Over N2 million in cash, hard drugs, an axe, and four mobile phones

The arrest followed a tip-off about a suspected criminal operating from Yuwander Lodge. The police raided the lodge and found Williams in a room booked by Christopher Kadiri, who escaped before the raid. The police are now working to apprehend Kadiri.

In a related development, operatives from the Ofu Division recovered a locally made barrel gun, a cutlass, and a Tecno phone at Ogbakpedo village along the Itobe-Ayingba road after suspected kidnappers fled upon spotting the police.

The Commissioner of Police, Miller G. Dantawaye, commended the officers for their dedication to duty and reaffirmed his commitment to fighting criminality in the state.
