Veteran Nollywood actor and producer Solomon Akiyesi has reportedly passed away in his sleep.
What happened:
Abubakar Yakubu, president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, confirmed the actor died on Sunday, April 27, 2026. Career:
Born in Ososo, Akoko-Edo LGA of Edo State, Akiyesi began acting in the late 1990s and worked in Nollywood for over 20 years. He featured in more than 100 films, including _Desperate Ladies_, _Pretty Liars_, _Bridge of Contract_, _Heart of a Saint_, _Marry Who You Love_, _Kiss My Pain_, _Deadly Affair_, _Gen Z Wife_, and _Olaedo The Fisher Girl_. Background:
