Davido wins Best International Act at the 2026 Liberian Entertainment Awards.

Nigerian superstar Davido has won Best International Act at the 2026 Liberian Entertainment Awards (LEA).

The ceremony took place on Sunday, April 25, 2026, at the Lisner Auditorium in Washington, D.C.

This marked the awards’ Return to Greatness after a five-year hiatus. The LEA was established in 2009 by founder Tarkus Zonen to honor excellence across music, movies, fashion, and services for Liberians at home and in the diaspora.

Nominees: Davido beat Rema, South Africa’s Grammy winner Tyla, American rapper Gunna, and American singer Fridayy in the International Act of 2026 category.

Davido was not present. The award was accepted on his behalf by Duke (@dedukeosy).

Davido’s reach: The win highlights his continued influence in Liberia’s entertainment scene, where he’s previously collaborated with local artists like Kobazzie.

Career tally: As of late 2025, Davido had amassed approximately 150 career awards, including four major wins at the 2025 EAEA Awards, among them Continental Artist of the Year.

The LEA’s return after half a decade was a major moment for Liberian entertainment, with Davido’s win seen as a bridge between Nigeria’s Afrobeats industry and Liberia.
