Drake just paid homage to Sade by turning her legendary _Love Deluxe_ album cover into a massive physical art piece. He commissioned a 9-foot tall sculpture recreating the 1992 cover art — that iconic Albert Watson photo of Sade with water droplets on her face and her hair wrapped.
The sculpture debuted at his private “Houston Appreciation Weekend” event and was later moved to his Toronto home. At 9 feet tall, guests walk up to Sade’s face at eye level, with the piece capturing every detail from the original: the water beads, the expression, the headwrap, and even the lighting feel. While Drake hasn’t publicly named the sculptor, it was fabricated by a Los Angeles-based studio known for hyperrealistic celebrity work.
Drake has sampled Sade multiple times and called her “the greatest” in past interviews. _Love Deluxe_ is one of his most referenced albums, with tracks like “Cherish The Day” showing up in his own music and mood boards. Fans are calling it museum-worthy and the most expensive fan art ever. It follows his pattern of elaborate album art tributes, like tapping Damien Hirst for _Certified Lover Boy_’s pregnant emoji cover and the photoshopped CN Tower for _Views_.
