“The other day, my staff informed me that I was invited to attend (CSW70) event for women in New York, and I was very happy. I responded within 3 hours, only to be told I could no longer attend because I responded ‘late’, this was the response from the Ministry of Women Affairs. I’m really concerned. How can we explain to Nigerians that there are only 4 women in the Senate, yet there is no unity, and a woman is being excluded from an event that concerns women of the world? I am not under suspension, and I don’t think I should be treated differently from other women.”
