INEC has officially set the 2027 general‑election dates: *Presidential and National Assembly polls on Saturday, 20 February 2027*, and *Governorship/State Assembly elections on Saturday, 6 March 2027*. The commission also announced campaign windows (Nov 18 2026–Feb 19 2027 for federal races, Dec 15 2026–Mar 5 2027 for state races) and will open continuous voter registration from April 2026 to January 2027.
