FASHION LEGEND VALENTINO GARAVANI DIES AT 93

Valentino Garavani, the iconic Italian fashion designer, has passed away at 93. He was known for his glamorous gowns, often in his signature “Valentino red,” and dressed celebrities like Jackie Kennedy, Elizabeth Taylor, and Princess Diana. Valentino founded his fashion house in Rome in 1960 and became a global luxury powerhouse, expanding into ready-to-wear, accessories, and fragrances.

Tributes poured in from the fashion world, with Alessandro Michele, creative director at Maison Valentino, calling him “a true maestro” and “a central figure in Italian cultural history”. Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni praised Valentino as “the eternal symbol of Italian haute couture”.
