Senator Ned Nwoko’s team has explained that Ann Izuegbu Anthonet, Regina Daniels’ best friend, was arrested for allegedly making criminally defamatory statements about Nwoko and his wife, Laila. Specifically, Ann was accused of claiming Nwoko physically assaulted Laila, causing a miscarriage, which Nwoko’s team denies as entirely false.
Additionally, Ann is implicated in procuring an illegal abortion for Regina Daniels during her marriage to Nwoko, allegedly causing Regina to swallow substances that led to prolonged bleeding and the loss of Nwoko’s unborn child. Nwoko’s team also accused Ann of sourcing, handling, and administering controlled and illegal substances to Regina and others.
