A$AP Rocky recently revealed that his mom, Renee Black, always wanted him to be with Rihanna. In an interview with The New York Times’ podcast “Popcast”, Rocky shared that his mom would often tell him, “I know you like this girl that you’re with right now, but I want you with R, and I used to be like, ‘Mom, why do you keep saying that? Yeah, like, that girl don’t even want me like that. Like, be cool, Mom. Like that’s just my friend chill.'”. Rocky said his mom insisted Rihanna was “the real one” and that he should go for her. He added that his mom was right, and he’s grateful their relationship started when it did, as neither he nor Rihanna was ready for commitment earlier.
