Nigeria’s first zombie horror film, “Alive Till Dawn”, is set to hit cinemas nationwide on January 30, 2026. Produced by Leo Obienyi and co-produced by Uzor Arukwe, the movie tells the story of a deadly outbreak that turns people into flesh-eating zombies, forcing survivors to fight through fear, violence, and moral choices to stay alive until daybreak.
The film, directed by Sulaiman Omotola Ogegbe, features a cast including Uzor Arukwe, Shine Rosman, Michael Dappa, Chisom Agoawuike, and Sani Mu’azu. It’s a bold move into genre cinema, blending horror, action, and post-apocalyptic storytelling in a format rarely explored in Nollywood.
