Akor Adams, the Super Eagles striker, has been granted permission to leave the team’s camp in Fes to visit his mother, who was hospitalized yesterday. He’s expected to return before Nigeria’s quarter-final clash on Saturday. Adams dedicated his goal against Mozambique to his mum, saying, “The goal is dedicated to my mom. She’s supposed to be here, but she’s in the hospital right now”.
Akor’s mother is reportedly much better now, and fans are sending prayers for her quick recovery. Interestingly, Akor Adams has returned to the Super Eagles camp after visiting his mum, with team administrator Dayo Enebi Achor confirming he’s back with his teammates.
