SAD: Bandits Attack Niger Community Market, Kill 30, Abduct Several

The Niger State Police Command has confirmed a deadly bandit attack on Kasuwan-Daji market in Kabe community, located in Borgu Local Government Area of the state.

According to police sources, armed men invaded the market on Saturday, opening fire on traders and residents. At least 30 people, including women, were killed during the attack, while several others were abducted by the assailants.

The attackers reportedly looted foodstuffs and other valuable goods worth millions of naira before setting the market on fire, leaving extensive destruction in their wake.

Eyewitnesses described the incident as horrific, saying many victims were overpowered and killed during the raid, while others fled the scene to escape the violence.

The attack has thrown the community into mourning and heightened concerns over the worsening security situation in parts of Niger State.
