The Ghana Police  has confirmed the arrest of Abubakari Sadick, popularly known as “Cyborg,”.

Abubakari Sadick, aka “Cyborg,” has been arrested by the Ghana Police for discharging a firearm at a public gathering during Nigerian singer Asake’s visit to Ghana. He was apprehended on December 29 at Adenta, and the weapon, a Derya MK-12 firearm, has been retrieved. Cyborg is currently in police custody, assisting with investigations, and will face charges under the Firearms Act and Public Order Act.

The incident occurred at the AfroFuture Festival at El-Wak Stadium, Accra, where Cyborg fired shots into the air, claiming he was seeking permission to celebrate Asake’s presence. The police have reiterated that owning a registered weapon doesn’t permit reckless use, and licenses can be revoked.
