Suspected bandits reportedly stormed Adanla community in Igbaja, Ifelodun LGA, Kwara State, on Friday evening, abducting at least seven residents

According to a local security coordinator, the att@ckers arrived around 7 pm, f+ring sh%ts to terr+rize inhabitants as they moved from house to house. Residents fled into nearby bushes and neighbouring communities to escape.

Olaitan Oyin-Zubair, Coordinator of the Kwara South Joint Community Security Watch Network, said that hunters and vigilantes were mobilized immediately, and the military responded with two operational vehicles to support local security efforts.

Before the security personnel arrived, several people were reportedly kidn+pped, and one woman sustained inj¥ries. The identities of the abd¥cted residents have not yet been confirmed.

The Kwara State Police Command has yet to issue an official statement on the incident, though officers said preliminary information had been received and investigations were ongoing.
