Anambra State Governor, Professor Chukwuma Soludo, has signed four bills into law, including the 2026 Appropriation Bill, with a budget of ₦766 billion. The budget, initially proposed at ₦757 billion, was increased by the State House of Assembly to prioritize economic growth, infrastructure development, and social welfare programs.
The other three bills signed into law are:
– Anambra State Mission Schools of Nursing and Midwifery (Amendment No. 3) Law, 2025
– Anambra State Taxes, Levies and Presumptive Tax (Approved List for collection) Law, 2025
– Anambra State Correctional Service Law, 2025
Governor Soludo emphasized transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance, stating the budget is a strategic plan to deliver his administration’s promises and meet the people’s critical needs.
