EFCC and  DSS Collaborate against  Fraud in Edo State

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and the Department of State Security (DSS) are teaming up to tackle fraud in Edo State, Nigeria. This collaboration aims to combat internet scams, particularly “Yahoo Yahoo,” and other financial crimes.

Recently, the EFCC nabbed 35 suspected internet fraudsters in Auchi, Edo State, seizing 9 cars, 11 laptops, 46 phones, and 2 smartwatches. The suspects will face charges upon investigation completion.

The EFCC and DSS are also investigating alleged monumental fraud involving the Edo State government, including the construction of a shopping mall and a modular refinery. The anti-graft agency has received petitions regarding these cases and is working to uncover the truth.

This joint effort is part of a broader initiative to eradicate economic and financial crimes in Nigeria. The EFCC has pledged to continue its mission, and the DSS has assured support and cooperation.
