1. N12 Trillion DFIs Funds Misuse
– Investigating how Development Finance Institutions (DFIs) used agricultural intervention funds (2017–2024).
– A public hearing is underway, led by the Committee on Nutrition and Food Security.
– Concerns about transparency and accountability in fund allocation.
2. N20 Trillion Abandoned Federal Projects
– Over *56,000 uncompleted projects nationwide, costing an estimated *N12 trillion*l (NIQS, 2021).
– Motion by Minority Leader Kingsley Chinda (PDP, Rivers) pushed for this investigation.
– The Senate previously probed N20 trillion unremitted stamp duties from CBN/NIBSS (2019).
