NSA and service chiefs hold emergency meeting over trump’s military action warning.

Nigeria’s National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, has convened an emergency meeting with service chiefs and heads of security and intelligence agencies to assess the implications of former US President Donald Trump’s recent statements on Nigeria. Trump had threatened possible military action over alleged Christian genocide in Nigeria, claiming that Christians were being subjected to genocide and vowed to take action to protect them .

The meeting aims to :

  • Evaluate the national security implications of Trump’s remarks
  • Coordinate Nigeria’s official response to the allegations
  • Outline measures to ensure internal stability

The Nigerian government has already dismissed Trump’s statement as false and politically driven, emphasizing its commitment to protecting all citizens regardless of faith or ethnicity. The government is expected to brief the media on the outcome of the meeting and clarify Nigeria’s stance on the genocide allegations.
