Nobel laureate, Prof. Wole Soyinka, has quipped that he may soon write a play about U.S. President Donald Trump, following the revocation of his American visa.
Speaking in a light-hearted tone, Soyinka said, “I have written a lot of plays about Idi Amin. Maybe it is about time I also write about Donald Trump. Literary compliment. Maybe he would reconsider and restore my visa.”
The literary icon’s remark comes amid ongoing discussions about visa restrictions and the treatment of foreign intellectuals under past U.S. administrations.
