The National President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bishop Wale Oke, has said that Nigeria would have collapsed without the constant prayers of Christians.
In an interview marking the PFN’s 40th anniversary, Oke said the prayers of believers have been the nation’s spiritual lifeline amid insecurity, economic hardship, and moral decay.
“Nigeria would have collapsed but for the prayers of the people,” Oke said. “One renowned man of God once said, ‘The only thing we need to do for the nation to collapse is to stop praying.’ The moment we stop praying, evil will take over.”
The cleric stressed that PFN members intercede daily for the nation’s peace and stability. “The prayers of our members have prevented the enemy from taking over our nation,” he said, adding that prayer remains the most potent force holding the country together.
