The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has attributed the poor quality of telecom service being experienced in Lagos, Abuja and other major cities.

The NCC’s statement highlights a common challenge in urban areas, where high population density and heavy usage strain network capacity. This can lead to poor service quality, dropped calls, and slow data speeds. To address this, telecom operators may need to invest in infrastructure upgrades, such as adding more cell towers or upgrading to newer technologies like 5G, which can handle higher capacities and provide better coverage in dense areas.
