President Bola Tinubu recently shared a powerful message of faith and unity at a funeral service in Plateau State, saying “No one can change what God has ordained”. He emphasized the importance of religious tolerance, love, and unity in Nigeria, drawing from his personal experience of being a Muslim married to a Christian pastor, Senator Remi Tinubu.
Tinubu stressed that despite their different faiths, they pray to the same Almighty God and will be answerable to Him based on their deeds and love for fellow beings, not their religious labels. He urged Nigerians to focus on shared values and mutual respect, promoting unity and peaceful coexistence.
The President made these remarks during the funeral service of Mama Lydia Yilwatda, mother of APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilawatda, in Jos, Plateau State, attended by various dignitaries, including governors, lawmakers, and other prominent figures.
