Governor Alex Otti f|res back at Lagos over dem0lition of Igbo businesses

Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti, has reacted strongly to the recent dem0lition of Igbo-owned businesses in Lagos, declaring that he has “no business with Lagos” and is not in competition with the state.

According to Otti, his real focus is on transforming Aba into a world-class economic powerhouse.

In his words:

“I have no business with Lagos, I’m not competing with Lagos. My competition is with China and Dubai. By the time I’m done with Aba, Lagos will look like a village.”

The governor emphasized that while some governments are busy pulling d0wn shops and frustrating traders, his administration is working tirelessly to make Aba the Dubai of Africa, a global hub for commerce, innovation, and manufacturing.

His statement has since sparked mixed reactions online, with many applauding his bold vision for Aba, while others question whether the state has the infrastructure and investment climate to rival global cities like Dubai and Shenzhen.
