The Federal Government has announced the cancellation of the Independence Anniversary parade scheduled for October 1, 2025, to mark Nigeria’s 65th Independence Day. According to Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information and Public Relations in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, the cancellation doesn’t diminish the significance of the milestone anniversary.
The government remains committed to celebrating Nigeria’s 65th year of independence with dignity and enthusiasm.
