I lacked direction,i lacked that male voice to tell me no,to show me another way.But those mistakes shaped me….Bucci Franklin popularly known as oboz d boss, recounts on his teenage years

When I think back to my teenage years, I see how wild I was. I was lost, and I gave my mother more trouble than she deserved. I dabbled in things that I should not have touched at such a young age. For me, it started with girls, and then it was cigarettes, which to us teenagers back then felt like dr-ugs.

I even tasted alcohol, sneaking be-ers and coming home wasted. That was the life I was living, and I know now how dangerous it could have been. Imagine being a young boy, coming back home completely drunk, and your mother just looking at you with tears in her eyes. It breaks me today to remember those days because I know how much pain I caused her.

I lacked direction. I lacked that male voice to tell me no, to show me another way. But those mistakes shaped me. They remind me where I came from and how far I have grown. My story is one of struggle, but also of redemption. And I owe it all to my mother for not giving up on me.
