Veteran Nollywood actor Chiwetalu Agu has vehemently denied rumors of his death, labeling them as baseless and malicious. In a statement on his Instagram page, Agu expressed frustration over receiving over 500 calls from friends, family, and fans inquiring about his alleged demise. He emphasized that he is not on Facebook and would never solicit for money from anyone.
Agu cursed those spreading the false rumors, declaring that they would die before him. He urged the public to report anyone posting such nonsense on Facebook. This isn’t the first time Agu has debunked death rumors; similar false reports surfaced in 2020, prompting him to issue a similar denial.
In a related context, Agu recently paid tribute to his colleagues and other Nigerians who passed away, showing his respect for the deceased. Meanwhile, he also came to the defense of his colleague, Zack Orji, after rumors of Orji’s death circulated online, describing those spreading such rumors as deserving of God’s wrath.
