Larry Ellison has become the world’s richest person, surpassing Elon Musk, after Oracle’s stock price skyrocketed. On Tuesday, Oracle reported strong earnings with a big boost in sales and a positive outlook for its cloud business. This caused the company’s shares to jump sharply-rising more than 39% by Wednesday morning in New York. Ellison, who co-founded Oracle in 1977 and still Owns about 41% of the company, saw his wealth increase by over $101 billion in just one day. His net worth reached $405 billion, compared to Musk’s $384 billion, according to Bloomberg.
