Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan is set to return to the National Assembly on September 23 after completing her six-month suspension. Her lawyer confirmed that everything is in place for her resumption. Akpoti-Uduaghan was suspended in March 2025 for alleged insubordination, but a court ruled in her favor, nullifying the suspension. She is currently on vacation in London but plans to resume her duties. The Senate leadership is reportedly ready to welcome her back.
